When looking for a reputable place for vehicle services and repairs, there are a few considerations that will help you determine which facilities are more likely to meet your expectations. For example, inquire about the prospective technician's certifications. Do employees at the shop have ASE or other reputable credentials that verify the knowledge and experience needed to efficiently repair your vehicle? Also, ask if the repair shop has professional affiliations. These may include (but are not limited to) ASE, AAA, the Better Business Bureau, and/or regional or nationwide networks. Further, check to see if the technician(s) is/are experienced with your make and model. Some shops are equipped to care for general repair (any automobile), while others specialize in certain brands. Finally, check to see what warranty coverage you'll receive on auto repairs. The presence of a decent warranty assures you that the company stands behind their work and that they feel confident about their ability to fix your car.
